Love Is in the Air | BridalExpoLA
Wedding season is coming up and BridalExpoLA will help you discover the best products, vendors, and services in LA. Whether you’re a bride, groom, maid of honor, family member, or a vendor for weddings, this event is perfect to help you plan an exceptional occasion. Here is our guide to navigating the expo and discovering items and ideas to enhance your special day.
What You Need to Know
This Los Angeles bridal expo is a one-of-a-kind event, showcasing hundreds of Southern California’s best wedding products and services. “Love is in the Air” is this year’s theme and it features a fashion show, a Belgian chocolate fountain, and a multitude of vendors. You’ll have the opportunity to sample cake, meet dance instructors, photographers, videographers, florists, wedding planners and more. For over five years BridalExpoLA has been bringing high energy, unique vendors, and beautiful inspiration to weddings all across the country.
This year, BridalExpoLA takes place at the Torrance Cultural Center and Japanese Gardens, from 11:00am to 4:00pm (PDT) on Sunday, May 29, 2016. Tickets are $10 for general admission or $20 for VIP entry. To purchase tickets and use the free planning tool click here.
Since opening in 1991, the Torrance Cultural Arts Center has been a mecca for many events. Thousands of bridal showers, wedding receptions, parties, and dinners have been held in this beautiful setting. The spacious facilities include a series of buildings joined by open spaces, including the serene Japanese Pine Wind Garden.
The tranquility and allure of the garden makes it ideal for wedding ceremonies. The Pine Wind Garden is the perfect, aesthetic backdrop for any romantic ceremony and the authentic Japanese landscaping, architecture, waterfalls, koi ponds, and stone paths make for elegant wedding photos. The garden is a two-tiered amphitheater with seating for 25 people, but with a total seating capacity of 60.
Next to the Pine Wind Garden, is an intimate Garden Room perfect for bridal showers. It is also an ideal place for the wedding party to prepare during a ceremony. A simple divider creates two separate entrances for flexible room setup and there is a beautiful view of the Japanese Garden through large picture windows.
Getting to the Event
Since the Torrance Cultural Center is a prized venue for luxurious weddings and other events, the BridalExpoLA is worth visiting to tour the expansive Cultural Center grounds alone, but it may be inaccessible for many. To ensure no-hassle parking, using a single vehicle is easier for larger parties and groups attending the event. For those visiting from out of town, the center is conveniently located about 11 miles south of LAX. State Van Rental is a popular option for groups traveling through California. We’re also located just a few minutes away from the airport. Click here to discover great van rental options in the Los Angeles area.
How to Have the Best Experience
Just like a wedding, planning your visit to BridalExpoLA in advance is essential to having a fun, memorable experience. Here are a few tips to ensure an amazing adventure.
1. Travel with your friends. Visiting a bridal show alone can swiftly turn from independent adventure to overwhelming disaster. Bring your whole team, whether it’s your entire wedding party or a few close friends, having company to help you make big decisions is essential. When planning transportation for your friends, renting a passenger van can be a great option. Not only will it save all of you time and money, but it will also keep your group together. Just getting to travel together is sure to create some great wedding planning memories.
2. Bring a backup. Finding the best deal, connecting with your dream vendor, or getting a jump on the day’s agenda could be sabotaged by a dead phone or losing your way in a new city. Opt for an onboard GPS and Wi-Fi router and you’ll be ready for anything.
3. Plot your course. From travel plans to lunch plans, having a strategy makes any day run smoothly. Make a list of items you need and jot down any vendors you’re hoping to see. A bit of preparation is the ideal prelude to a successful outing.
4. Build in little experiences to look forward to. Whether it’s impromptu cake tastings or luxuriant champagne breaks, make an agreement with your friends that you’ll participate in one enjoyable event each hour you’re at the expo. Before you know it, you’ll be leaving with everything you came for and plenty of wonderful memories too.
